Asia's No.1 Plastics & Rubber Trade Fair Chinaplas 2009 Back to Guangzhou
Publish Date:June 18, 2008
Chinaplas 2009 (The 23rd International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries) will rotate back to Guangzhou, PR China and will be held at Asia's largest exhibition center, China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex from 18-21 May 2009.

Nowadays, the science and technologies of plastics and rubber have found wide-ranging applications in very diverse fields of industries such as automotive, building and construction, daily chemicals, medical, electronics and electrical appliances, telecommunication and IT, food and beverage, packaging, etc. Through the effective fusion of advanced technologies and traditional industries, new plastic and rubber materials will gradually replace the traditional materials like metal, wood, paper and so on. And this has created a huge market for the plastics and rubber machine manufacturers and raw material suppliers. The Asia Pacific region as a whole now accounts for 40% of the world's total plastics raw materials consumption and production. And China now ranks 1st in the world production of plastic processing machines and ranks 2nd in the manufacture of plastic synthetic resin and plastic products. Furthermore, it is also the largest consumer and importer of synthetic rubber in the world.

Following the success of its last event held in Shanghai, Chinaplas 2009 rotates back to Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong Province.` Guangdong Province is the economic hub of Southern China. The high concentration of different manufacturing industries found in the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong Province accounts for over 30% of China's total export. Moreover, Guangdong Province ranks No.1 in China for its production volume of plastic products, plastic pipes, foam plastics, plastic containers, plastic sheets and profiles, and for the output of synthetic resins. Experts estimate that by 2010, the total production of plastic products will hit the record of 9.3 million tons in Guangdong and that the gross value of the industrial output will surpass RMB200 billion.

As a world-class event, Chinaplas 2009 to be held in Guangzhou is expected to attract more than 68,000 trade visitors and over 40 buyer delegations from around the world. It is the best platform for over 1,900 international exhibitors to discuss business and exchange technical and marketing information of the industry. It is believed to generate more business and networking opportunities between the manufacturers in plastics and rubber industries and the end-users.

To meet the market demand, Chinaplas 2009 is foreseen to enlarge its show scale to 140,000sqm, of 37% larger than Chinaplas 2007 held in Guangzhou. There will be 9 theme zones set up for the convenience of visitors to find their suppliers. They include Injection Molding Machinery Zone, Extrusion Machinery Zone, Chemicals & Raw Materials Zone, Semi-finished Products Zone, Auxiliary & Testing Equipment Zone, Die & Mould Zone, Plastic Packaging & Drinktec Zone, Other Processing Machinery Zone and Chinese Export Machinery & Materials Hall. 1,900 exhibitors will showcase their state-of-the-art plastics and rubber machines and raw materials. Among which, large-scale pavilions will be organized by Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, PR China, Taiwan Province, UK and USA.

Chinaplas 2009 is being recognized as Asia's No.1 and the world's 3rd largest international trade fair for the plastics and rubber industries. Its market status is just after K Fair in Germany, the world's No.1 plastics and rubber trade fair, and NPE in the USA, the second largest plastics fair in the world. The attractiveness of Chinaplas will continue to increase with the 2009 event expecting to draw a proportion of 60% overseas exhibitors from around 30 countries and regions.

Adsale Exhibition Services Co., Ltd., the organizer, will arrange various new concurrent activities during Chinaplas 2009. Following the success of China-U.S. Plastics Industry Summit held at Chinaplas 2008, Adsale will organize Cross-strait Plastic Industry Summit 2009 in conjunction with CPPIA (China Plastics Processing Industry Association), TAMI (Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry) and other related professional and industrial associations in the next Chinaplas. The summit will fully address the topics of market development trends across the Taiwan Strait and the exploration of more bilateral trading opportunities. Besides, subsequent to the success of CEO Forum held at Chinaplas 2007, the organizer will stage the forum again in Chinaplas 2009. Well-known CEOs in the plastics and rubber industries will be invited to share their extensive knowledge and experiences in corporate management and product marketing with the audience.

Chinaplas 2009 will be the 20th consecutive edition to earn EUROMAP (European Committee of Machinery Manufacturers for the Plastics & Rubber Industries) as the exclusive sponsor in China. It is organized by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., co-organized by China Foreign Trade Centre (Group), China National Light Industry Council - China Plastics Processing Industry Association, China Plastic Machine Industry Association, Guangdong Plastics Industry Association, Shanghai Society of Plastics Industry, Messe Dusseldorf China Ltd. and Beijing Yazhan Exhibition Services Ltd. The fair is also well supported by enormous overseas and Chinese trade associations in the plastics and rubber industries.
