The organizer is glad to receive encouraging response of CHINAPLAS 2010. Up to now, the show is getting 30% overbooked in exhibition space with all 11 exhibition halls at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) being fully occupied, demonstrating that the demand for exhibition space has climbed yet again and a waiting list for exhibitors has already been created. In response to the growing show scale of CHINAPLAS 2010, additional exhibition hall(s) will be built at the square between the east and west wings of SNIEC to cater for the strong demand for exhibition space. Details will be announced later.

Shanghai Society of Plastics Industry (SSPI) and other user industry associations joint hands to promote CHINAPLAS 2010. Through their promotional effort, new show highlights and innovative plastics technological applications will be introduced to different user enterprises in East China. The associations come from various manufacturing sectors, including packaging, automotive, medical equipments, home appliance, lighting appliance, bicycle, chemical building materials, cable and wires, tools etc. With the increasing applications of rubber and plastics in daily lives, the Organizer believes that CHINAPLAS 2010 will showcase advanced plastics and rubber equipments as well as a wide array of chemical and raw materials to different industries.

CHINAPLAS 2009 attracted over 10,000 overseas visitors to attend, accounting for 16.4% of total number of visitors. To strengthen overseas promotion, the Organizer starts to cooperate with the travel agents in global to promote CHINAPLAS 2010’s show progress and highlights. Currently, travel agents from HK, India, Malaysia, Korea and Turkey, etc actively promote this mega show, which will help exhibitors/ visitors on travel and accommodation arrangement in upcoming period. In addition, some of them will gather visitors to form delegations to visit and source at the CHINAPLAS 2010.

To provide up-to-date show information to overseas buyers, CHINAPLAS showed her presence at NPE 2009 at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL, June 22-26, 2009. At the booth of CHINAPLAS, visitors were keen on learning more about CHINAPLAS as well as the market updates of China’s plastics industry. The 23rd International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries came to a successful end on May 21, 2009 at the China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou. The China’s largest and most prestigious professional integrated plastics and rubber fair refreshed its record once again in the exhibition area, and the number of exhibitors and visitors. The four-day exhibition attracted nearly 70,000 visitors from 135 countries and regions, more than 1,800 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions occupying an exhibition area of 140,000sqm. The fair was indeed an international feast of plastics and rubber industry.
