CHINAPLAS 2010 Rotates to Shanghai
Continues as Asia's No.1 Trade Fair for the Plastics & Rubber Industries
Publish Date:2009Year6Month25Day
CHINAPLAS 2010, the 24th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, will rotate back to Shanghai, PR China and will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) from 19-22 April 2010.

Mega Event Exclusively Supported by Authoritative Bodies

Developing together with China's plastics and rubber industries in the last 26 years, CHINAPLAS is the only exhibition in the plastics and rubber industries in China being certified as “UFI Approved Event” by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). Besides, CHINAPLAS 2010 will be the 21st consecutive edition to earn the exclusive support of EUROMAP (European Committee of Machinery Manufacturers for the Plastics & Rubber Industries) in China. These recognition and support given to CHINAPLAS is good proof of the professional standard of the show. More importantly, it reflects the market significance of CHINAPLAS in being Asia's No. 1 and the world's third largest plastics and rubber trade fair. Its market influence is just after K Fair in Germany and NPE in the USA, the industry's No. 1 and No. 2 trade fair.

Abundant Business Opportunities in Fast-recovering China Market

The global economy has been strongly affected by the international financial crisis that started since the 2nd half of 2008. Taking swift response to minimize the impact of the crisis on China's economy, the Chinese Government has launched the RMB 4 trillion stimulus package to boost domestic demand and also promulgated the revitalization plan for 10 major industries, including automobile, telecommunication and IT Industry, petrochemical and the light Industries. The plastics industry as a light industry and one of the downstream sectors of the petrochemical industry, is also listed in the revitalization plan.

Currently, China is the largest producer of plastics processing machines in the world. It is also the world's 2nd largest manufacturer of plastic synthetic resin and plastic products. On the other hand, the rubber industry in China is also booming. China's rubber consumption in 2008 was expected to reach 5.5 million tons, which attained an increase of 8.9%, has been ranked as world's No.1 for 7 successive years. Under the series of effective policies carried out by the Chinese Government, China's economy is expected to lead a full recovery in the world economy, and China's plastics and rubber industries will also lead the global plastics and rubber industries to open up a new market share.

Shanghai - the Navigator of China's Economic and Industrial Developments
In 2010, CHINAPLAS will rotate back to Shanghai and will continue to generate good business and networking opportunities for the plastics and rubber industries. Shanghai, as the dragonhead in economic development of the Yangtze River Delta region, leads the rapid development of the plastics industry in Eastern China. In 2008, the output of plastics machines in Eastern China reached 533,000 tons, accounting for 74.9% of the whole of China's plastics machine output. The output of plastic products hit the record of 19.03 million tons, taking up 51.3% of China's total output.

CHINAPLAS 2010 to be held in Shanghai, will showcase the most innovative and advanced plastics and rubber machinery and raw materials for all kinds of user industries, including automobile, electronics and electrical appliances, building and construction, packaging, telecommunication and IT industries, etc. Visitors will be able to find the optimum and the most cost-effective solution for production at the show that can further strengthen their products' competitiveness and help their enterprises to stand out from the poor economic environment.

The coming edition of CHINAPLAS will break the record of show scale to 145,000 sqm. It is expected to have more than 1,900 international exhibitors from 35 countries/regions.
