Asia's No.1 Plastics and Rubber Show is Ready to Take-off
CHINAPLAS 2010 is Devoted to Green Plastics Industry
Publish Date:2010Year3Month8Day
Being one of four most important fundamental materials in modern industry, plastics and rubber's range of application goes far beyond daily living goods, packaging products and exterior cases of electronic and electrical products, and its application has further extended to automobiles, building and construction, medical and even aviation. However, it has been misunderstood by the public that the utilization of plastics and rubber leads to serious environmental pollution. In fact, with speedy development of technology, plus innovation and utilization of green plastics and energy-saving plastic machines, the previous properties of high energy consumption, high emission and low degradability have been addressed, whilst the state-of-the-art plastics machines make it possible to streamline the procedure, reduce the raw materials so as to realize the concepts of green manufacturing and resource-saving, and help achieve sustainable development of eco-environmental protection and development of circular economy

The attention-grabbing CHINAPLAS 2010 will take place from April 19-22, 2010 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Pudong, Shanghai, PR China. Focusing on the theme of "Green Plastics. Our Goal. Our Future", a series of activities related to environmental protection will be launched. "With the increasing awareness of global environmental protection, the green plastics and machines for energy-saving and emission reduction will gradually become the trend setter," said Mr. Stanley Chu, Chairman of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, Organizer of CHINAPLAS, this morning (March 8) in a press conference held at Guangzhou. In a move to promote the role and contribution of green machines and environmentally friendly plastics, and also create a favorable atmosphere for the manufacturers of green plastics machines and raw materials to promote their green concept, a series of "Industrial Forum on Green Technology" will be held during CHINAPLAS 2010. Moreover, "Green Corner" will also be set up, so that visitors will have a better understanding of the latest development trend of energy saving, environmental protection, recycling and regeneration technologies.

During the first three days of CHINAPLAS (April 19-21), "Industrial Forum on Green Technology" will be held to gather the worldwide materials and machine suppliers, experts and users and facilitate exchange of their valuable views on sustainable development strategies, and experience sharing on the applications of green plastics technology and successful cases in the sectors of automobiles, building & construction, packaging, E&E, information technology and telecommunications, aiming at promoting the significant influence of green plastics technology on building up an environmentally friendly society and boosting sustainable development. The invited speakers will include trade associations : China Plastics Processing Industry Association, China Plastic Machine Industry Association, China Rubber Industry Association, Europe's Association for Plastics and Rubber Machinery Manufacturers, The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc, The Japan Plastics Industry Federation, etc; exhibitors : BASF, DSM, Haitian, Bayer MaterialScience and Du Pont; end users : Shanghai General Motors PATAC, Shanghai Shuanglu Electric Appliance, Wuhan Zhenbang Food Packaging, etc. In addition, on-site "Green Corner" will also showcase the most advanced environmentally friendly plastic products and technologies so as to encourage suppliers and buyers to adopt more green plastic technologies. To support green manufacturing, Adsale will join hands with plastics associations from Shenzhen, Shanghai, Shantou, etc to organize The Second China International Seminar of Biodegradable Plastic Applications at Shanghai two days prior to the opening of CHINAPLAS 2010.

Besides concurrent activities, exhibitors will also demonstrate their support and determination to protect the environment. Haitian, Demag, Hwamda, Piovan, Cosmos, Schneider, Yizumi, etc, will display their machine with excellent features of energy-saving; Kingfa, Wearmax, Shenzhen Keju, Oxobioplast, NHH Biodegrable, Ecomann Biotechnology, etc. will exhibit their biodegradable materials and technology; Zerma, Fangli Group, Jiangsu Liangguan, S+S Separation and Sorting, Oude, Shini Plastics, Rapid, Sorema Div. Of Previero N. Srl, etc, will highlight their recycling equipment and technology.

Being No.1 province in China's plastics industry, Guangdong has always been leading all other provinces in the total output of plastic products since 1994. In 2009, the output of plastic products in Guangdong climbed to a new height, hitting the record of over 10 million ton. Amongst ten major plastic product categories, the output of five categories from Guangdong took the first place, namely daily articles, plastic pipes and fittings, plastic boards / sheets, plastic packaging and containers as well as other plastics products. At the conference, Mr. Fu An, Chairman of Guangdong Plastics Industry Association, one of CHINAPLAS 2010 supporters, also invited local enterprises to attend CHINAPLAS 2010 to purchase advanced chemicals and raw materials as well as plastics and rubber machines so as to sharpen the competitive edge of enterprises in southern China, and maintain the leading role of Guangdong in China's plastics industry.

As the show is approaching, all related industries set a great expectation for the long-awaited CHINAPLAS 2010. With near one-year preparation time, CHINAPLAS 2010 now makes a last minute dash for the exhibitor recruitment, visitor promotion and on-site operation works.
