| Automotive Development with Green Technology |
| |

|
With speedy development in automotive industry and increasing concern of vehicles’ usage, safety and environmental protection, the industry has set more and higher requirements on automotive plastics, following the direction of lower production cost, higher strength, better impact properties, recyclable & degradable plastics and other composite materials and alloys. |
|
|
Cost Effectiveness with High Performance of General Plastics |
| General plastics with well processing properties have been widely used in auto parts production, such as instrument panels, bumpers, wheel covers, etc. With increasing required size of bumpers and instrument panels, the amount of general plastics used will be increased as well. In addition, PP and ABS’ applications in the automotive field have been further expanded with the application of various kinds of modified and composite technology, which will help to reduce production cost, improve quality of materials and recycling of used vehicles. |
| |
Increasing applications with high-tech composite technology |
 |
Enhanced material performance and environmental protection |
| |
Application of high-strength lightweight fiber reinforced plastics is one of future development directions for composite reinforcing material. And the usage of environmentally natural fiber material currently has been recognized by automotive industry.
|
 |
Applications of nano-composite technology |
| |
Nano-plastics has become widely accepted in the automotive plastics applications with its excellent mechanics, heat resistance and inflaming retarding properties, as well as some value-added functions, such as antibacterial, anti-radiation, etc. |
 |
Increased demand for plastic alloys |
| |
Modified engineering plastics can be used as high-performance alloys in automotive components production, not only satisfied with its strength, but also achieve cost effectiveness while reducing its thickness and weight. |

Advanced Injection Molding and Hot Runner System Boost the Upgrade of Industry |
With the development of plastics and injection molding technology, the proportion of large complex parts has been growing in the automotive parts. Injection molding machines and hot runner systems with features of precision, high efficiency and environmentally-friendly have played a more important role in the automotive R&D and production process. Automotive parts produced by injection molding technology with hot runner not only achieve the objective of materials saving and quality improving, but also increase the life expentancy of mold, especially having significant advantage with complex, large and higher quality parts. In addition, the production efficiency has been improved due to it injection molding process.
CHINAPLAS 2012 covers both China and overseas technology, at the same time infuses these technologies into the automotive industry through converging over 2,600 local & overseas renowned chemical materials & equipment suppliers, creating a broader future for the automotive industry. |
