The Future is in Plastics & Rubber was the theme of CHINAPLAS 2012. As future applications of plastics and rubber are far beyond imagination, we would like to stimulate innovative thoughts and create impressive designs on plastics / rubber products through collaboration with students from East China University of Science and Technology, experts from the automotive and the plastics/rubber industries. The Future Zone in CHINAPLAS 2012 was the limelight of the show which showcased innovative products combining advanced plastics and rubber technologies with forward-looking design insights. The displays at The Future Zone emphasized on the eco-friendliness and sustainable properties of plastics and rubber in different applications.
The Future Zone was set up at Central Square of Shanghai New International Expo Centre, enjoying a 360° exposure to the show participants throughout show period (18-21 April, 2012). "The Future Fashion Show" was also held at The Future Zone as one of the highlight activities on the second and third day of CHINAPLAS 2012, where models presented tailor-made plastics and rubber fashions onsite.
The Future Zone consists of 2 parts, namely “Nurturing our Future” Program and “Premium Design Gallery”.
