Evonik offers a wide range of products and technologies for the plastics industry, covering standard and specialty molding compounds, semi-finished products, carbon blacks and silicas, anti-scratch additives and a liquid color system.
These specialty high-performance polymers recently have been included into its portfolio: VESTAMID® HTplus (PPA) has been developed as a substitute for metal. The monomers of the VESTAMID® Terra polyamides group are based entirely or partly on renewable raw materials. TROGAMID® myCX, the new premium optical TROGAMID® grade, is the only transparent microcrystalline polyamide on the market. It combines the beneficial properties of semicrystalline and amorphous resins.
The characteristic properties of the PMMA products PLEXIGLAS®, PLEXIMID® and PLEXALLOY®, such as unsurpassed resistance to UV light and weathering, high brilliance and transparency, colorfastness, surface hardness and scratch resistance, qualify them for a wide variety of applications. |
