Founded in 1960, ASSOCOMAPLAST, a non-profit Association, now represents 166 leading Italian plastics and rubber machinery, ancillary equipment and moulds manufacturers, at the top of the world market, for production and export outputs.
ASSOCOMAPLAST''s activity, through its company PROMAPLAST srl, includes among others:
- the publication of the bimonthly magazine MACPLAS (8,000 copies in Italy), the internet version MACPLAS ONLINE (www.macplas.it), the bi-weekly newsletter MACPLAS E-NEWS
- the organization, every three years, of the international exhibition PLAST in Milan, the largest in Europe in 2012, at its sixteenth edition (Milan, May 8/12, www.plastonline.org)
- the organization of training activities, researches on new applications/materials for processing technologies, in cooperation with CESAP (www.cesap.com).
On behalf of UNI (Italian Institute for Standardization), it runs the Technical Committee "CEN/TC 145", drawing European safety standards for plastics and rubber
