Micronized PTFE can be widely incorporated into engineering plastic system to feature highly anti-abrasion performance. It can be loaded into PA66, PA6, PC, POM, PEEK and other different types of engineering plastics. PTFE has a very low coefficient of friction, which can effectively reduce the friction on the surface of the workpiece to reduce wear. The particles of PTFE micropowder are embedded in the resin system, the thermoplastic resin will impart durable wear resistance, prolonged product life, noise reduction during friction. In light of REACH regulation on PFOA restriction, Shamrock has presented a series of PTFE micropowder which is compliant with PFOA content less than 25 ppb.
