EcoGentle® technology based on the food-grade bottle-to-bottle recycling process VACUREMA®
Based on the third generation of recycling technologies for bottle-to-fibre, bottle-to-sheet, bottle-to-bottle and tray-to-tray applications, the fourth generation of VACUREMA® enables lower material handling temperatures through innovative EcoGentle® technology and better material melting and mixing performance through a combination of extrusion ratio changes, targeted use of shear flow and elongation flow. These innovations have resulted in a significant reduction in the energy required for production: as low as 0.22 kWh/kg on a VACUREMA®Basic 2628, as well as an increase in the quality of the recycled output through gentler material handling and a wider process window. In addition, the fourth generation of the process solution is backed up by new patented technology that allows, for example, a further step forward in capacity up to 6000 kg/h.
