FT (Fischer-Tropsch) synthesis is a production process that involves the synthesis of alkanes by combining carbon monoxide and hydrogen, under high pressure, with a unique catalyst. Depending on the requirements of the downstream products (e.g. fuels, lubricants, waxes), the FT process can synthesise alkanes with different chain lengths and separate the alkanes by distillation.
The Bareco PX-105 polymer we offer is a Fischer-Tropsch synthetic wax produced in Malaysia (Shell). This premium product is characterised by high melting point, low viscosity and high hardness, and performs very well in many applications.
