Cargill™ Ionphase™ U5 Polymeric Static Control Additive
1. The advantages of Ionphase U5, including filled polypropylene, and being suitable for translucent compounds. At around 10% loading of Ionphase™ U5 it is possible to reach resistivity levels for dust control applications in different PP hosts.
2. It is a static control additive with Inherently Dissipative polymer technology, rather than a migrating additive- which means the effect is immediate and long lasting.
3. As a static control additive, it reduces dust attraction for a better appearance and performance, as well as reducing the risk of electrostatic discharge.
4. Can be incorporated in polypropylene, but also other polymer types. Examples for applications include automotive and protective packaging for ESD sensitive components.
