Zinc Borate is a good flowing, readily dispersible, high whiteness powder, it is slightly soluble in water,but soluble in acid solution.
Zinc Borate is mainly used as fire retardant in plastics and rubber, and can be dispersed into wood or wood plastics composites, coating systems as a corrosion inhibitor and fungicide. Also used as fertilizer or ceramic frit.
Zinc Borate has good synergism with Antimony Trioxide and Borminated etc flame retardant. Zinc Borate can obviousely improve Oxygen Index when it partially replace ATO and DBDPE etc flame retardant,and can reduce the smoke to have better test result. Zinc Borate will obviousely reduce the cost during current high price of ATO and DBDPE etc flame retardant.
Zinc Borate Anhydrouse is workable high up to 600C that will meet the high termperature extrude process.like fiber PA6,66 etc that is about 300C to processs. it has good synergism with MPP,ADP etc flame retardant.
