In the past few years, cylindrical and rectangular batteries have always been the mainstream product lines of major battery manufacturers, who have attained a very mature level in technology and production skills, but found themselves stuck at a bottleneck in further upgrades in battery safety and energy density. On the other hand, batteries in flexible packaging have, in theory, very good prospects under the requirements of energy density, safety and lightweight. In 2017, the domestic flexible packaging penetration rate of power batteries was less than 15%.
