Highly transparent grades have a lower yellowing index than conventional thermoplastic lens materials. They are extremely resistant to environmental influences, can be used over a wide temperature range and allow particularly flexible design. DOWSIL MS-1002 Moldable Silicone – provided by Dow Silicones – is processed. The lenses leaving the automated production cell are ready for installation. To guarantee the required process stability, iQ weight control is used. The intelligent assistance system from ENGEL's inject 4.0 programme detects fluctuations in the ambient conditions and raw material, and compensates for them automatically during the shot.
