LG Chem is launching its first eco-friendly plastic made of carbon dioxide at the beauty industry fair in Italy

LG Chem will unveil for the first time a cosmetic container with polyethylene carbonate (PEC), a next-generation eco-friendly material made of carbon dioxide, at the eco-zone of its eco-friendly partner Cosmax. PEC is the next-generation eco-friendly innovative plastic made using factory-captured carbon dioxide and ethylene oxide. LG Chem emphasized, "We have secured the highest productivity among existing carbon dioxide plastics by independently developing catalysts and process technologies, which are key materials that convert carbon dioxide into plastic for PEC manufacturing."
