BKG® FlexDisc
The BKG® FlexDisc allows you to significantly enlarge your filtration area, without increasing the machine size and weight.
You can realize sizes of filtration areas that are far beyond what flat screens can provide.

Backflushing is a highly efficient way to prolong the lifetime of the filtration medium and reduce operator intervention. But with every backflush procedure it creates melt loss. With the new optimized FlexDisc the melt loss can be further reduced, leading to significant savings in material costs compared to flat screens.

The benefits are: Larger filtration area; Finer filtration; Higher throughput; Prolonged filter life of filtration media; Reduced specific backflush volume due to fewer required backflushes; Gentle filtration – Less shear stress and therefore protection of the molecular structure and increase of the end product quality (less gels); Smaller machine size for same throughput possible. The BKG FlexDisc can be used in Plastics Recycling, Optical Film Production and almost all applications for low and medium viscosity polymers.

BKG® HiCut
BKG HiCut Pelletizing processes are influenced by three main factors. First, the process pressure as result of viscosity and throughput. Second, the desired weight of the pellet. And third, the cutter hub’s configuration and its rotation speed per minute.
In combination with the right die plate, the cutter hub is the heart of the pelletizing system and determines the output and quality of the pellet more than any other component of the machine.
With the new BKG HiCut and its improved blade design, Nordson has developed a cutter hub which will elevate pelletizing processes to a whole new level.
The BKG HiCut is designed to hold significantly more blades while optimizing the blade design. This gives customers three advantages to advance their process:
1. Increase throughput
2. Keep the existing input, but decrease the RPM and extend the working life of blades and die plate
3. Reduce the machine size for new investments and save costs
The combination of BKG HiCut and its new blade design improves the cutting process and increases the pellet quality. Tests have shown that the pellets have less tails, which leads to less fines being generated and reduced material loss. Therefore, much less filtration effort is necessary, reducing maintenance work and overall production costs.
