Antioxidant DSTDP is used in polyolefins and other polymeric systems. Esters of
thiodipropionic acid are widely used as auxiliary stabilizers for polypropylene, polyethylene, and synthetic rubbers to promote long-term ambient aging properties. DSTDP find application where improved long-term, heat aging properties are required. Typically, DSTDP is used in conjunction with hindered phenolic antioxidants as well other antioxidant chemistries, to enhance their performance. DSTDP is non-staining, with good color retention, good compatibility, excellent aging stability and low extractability.
