Antibacterial and Antifungal TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer)
EKG's antibacterial TPE is based on thermoplastic styrene elastomer (SEBS), blended with antibacterial agents and compatibilizers to inhibit bacterial and fungal growth, achieving an antibacterial rate of 99.999%. It overcomes issues like leaching and discoloration at high temperatures, with a hardness range of 40A to 75D, offering a rubber-like feel, high elasticity, and strength, alongside plasticity for extrusion.
Applications: This material is used in medical cables, headphone wires, seal strips, food containers, kitchenware, personal care products, cosmetics, and automotive parts.
Antibacterial TPU products suppress or kill bacteria, fungi, and viruses, maintaining cleanliness. Their performance, including melt flow rate and tensile strength, meets national testing standards. Processing methods vary based on application, with performance primarily dependent on the base material properties and evaluated through practical processing techniques.
