TPV combines some characteristics of vulcanized rubber, such as heat resistance and low compression deformation, with the easy processing properties of thermoplastic plastics. By using dynamic vulcanization technology, rubber is completely vulcanized and dispersed in a plastic matrix with micrometer size (less than 2 micrometers), giving it the physical properties of vulcanized rubber. It can be directly extruded, injected, rolled, and blown, with a simple molding process and high production efficiency. The environmental resistance of TPV is equivalent to that of general-purpose EPDM rubber, and its oil and solvent resistance is also comparable to that of general-purpose chloroprene rubber.
TPV has the advantages of light weight (0.90~0.98), wide application temperature range (-60~135 ℃), wide hardness range (25A~70D), and easy dyeing, greatly improving the freedom of product design. Designers and manufacturers can choose specific grades that can meet their product requirements.
