Wide Application of Plastics and Rubber to Numerous Sectors, Building a Superb Plastics and Rubber Trade Fair in Asia

With the rapid development of plastics technology and plastic's high flexibility in nature, plastics can be applied to many industrial sectors, including automobile, building & construction, information technology & telecommunication, packaging, electronics & electrical appliances, hardware tools, and others.

At the press conference held in Shanghai on Jan 9, 2008, Ms. Liu Jingfen, Vice President and Secretary General of Shanghai Society of Plastics Industry, anticipated that output of plastic resin and copolymer will reach 12.93 million tons in 2007 while the output of plastics machinery will be 0.544 million tons, up to 74.5% of the national output. All in all, Shanghai and its regions contribute half of the total national output of plastics products in China.

Innovative Plastics and Rubber, Sports without Limit
To welcome the staging of Beijing Olympic 2008 in August, the show will incorporate sport's elements. A series of concurrent events under the theme of 'Innovative Plastics and Rubber, Sports without Limit' will be organized, such as forum, sports performances and interactive games.
