Dr. Reinhard Schiffers
Head of Machine Technology, KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH

After studying general mechanical engineering, Reinhard Schiffers completed his Ph.D. on ‘Process capability in injection molding’ under Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wortbergat, the chair for ‘Design and plastics machinery’ at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Parallel to his activity for the professorial chair, he studied business economics at the FernUniversität (Open University) in Hagen.
After completing his Ph.D. in 2009, Reinhard Schiffers joined KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH in Munich, assuming responsibility for ‘Energy efficiency – BluePower’ within the KraussMaffei Group.
Since 2012 he has been Head of the Machine Technology department within R&D, where his activities cover various areas including: development of hydraulics systems, development of plasticizing systems, measuring technology, pre-development.

Andrea Carta was born in Italy and studied mechanical engineering, majoring in plastics processing, at Bielefeld University of Applied Science in Germany. For eight years, he worked internationally as a consultant in the field of supply chain management, before switching to an automotive industry supplier. Here, he worked in Italy and India, as well as spending five years in China as Vice President Business Development Asia. Since November 2013, Andrea Carta has been responsible for all of the Arburg subsidiaries and organisations outside Europe in his function as Director Sales Overseas.

Ing. Gerald Plöchl: graduated from the school of higher technical education in Vienna, with a special emphasis on plastics engineering. He has over fifteen years of experience in the tool making industry, covering all aspects; sales, design and project management.
Gerald Plöchl’s CV includes several years as production manager of the Austrian subsidiary of a UK medical mold-maker & molding company. Since 2005 he has been working for WITTMANN BATTENFELD in various positions, including project engineering, automation and sales.
Gerald Plöchl is currently responsible for medical and cleanroom product management and is the group leader for the company’s Medical & Micromolding department.

Professor, Sino-German College Applied Sciences of Tongji University (CDHAW)
Dr. Li Pengzhong, Professor of Tongji University, Chief Engineer of MAG manufacturing Technology Chair of Sino-German School of Postgraduate Studies, a senior visiting scholar of Technical University of Berlin and Ruhr University Bochum. His main research fields include manufacturing system optimization and high efficiency intelligent manufacturing technology. The current research interests are focused on development and implementation of Industry 4.0 key technologies. He has working experience in consulting and implementation of a number of well-known enterprises.

Anston graduated from Singapore's Nanyang Technological University has been in the plastic industry since 1999. He co-founded the German Training Centre for Injection Moulding (Asia) in 2014, which brings to Asia from Germany highly valuable and innovative courses for the plastics industry.  As principal, he not only localised and adapted the courses to suit the diverse Asian markets, but also motivated industry leaders, educators, and influencers to revitalise and attract talents.
In 2015, Anston further brings to Asia the German concept of ‘Industrie 4.0’ – the fourth industrial revolution after water/steam, mass production, and automation.  Today, Anston leads a global team of professionals to help Asian plastics moulders and institutions prepare for the coming era of digitised manufacturing, and he is recognised by many to be one of the foremost authority in this area.

Ma Yuanye, as Haier’s IE Director, Operation Director of the Research Institute, and expert in industrial engineering and smart manufacturing, has long engaged in promoting Industry 4.0 to manufacturers. Before Ralf Pampus has joint Reifenhäuser in 2011 he has worked at 3M Germany several years in the Process Engineering Department. He is holding a master degree in industrial engineering with a major in plastic technology and a diploma degree in manufacturing technology. Mr. Josef Haslinger is working with Brückner Maschinenbau since 16 years and is the responsible Head of Sales for the Chinese  market. Josef’s degree is mechanical and process engineer and he has more than 25 years experience in the field of plastic industry. He started 1989 as R&D engineer with  Lenzing in Austria. After 11 years Josef joined Krauss Maffei as development engineer for PVC sheet, film and profile extrusion before he entered the Brückner sales team in 2002. China is Brückner’s largest single market and Josef as Head of Sales is part of this success story.

Mr. ZHOU Housong is working with Brückner Maschinenbau since 1996 and has already been cooperating with the company since 1989. Zhou is chemical engineer and was one of the first to develop and produce BOPP pearlized film and tobacco package film in China. Overall, he has more than 30 years experience in the field of bi-oriented film production (BOPET,  BOPP and BOPA).

Mr. Iacopo Bianconcini joined SACMI Group in Imola, Italy, 16 years ago. He graduated in Management Engineering at  Greenwich University in London and Master Educated in Key Account Management and Marketing at SDA Bocconi of Milan and Columbia University of NY.
As a Manager in SACMI Imola Headquarter, he is directly responsible for worldwide marketing activities within the Packaging Division, which is grouping both the Beverage and Closures&Containers Business Units.
His former experience as Sales Area Manager and Key Account Manager within the Closures&Containers Division is a valuable and helpful background for his present role.
