Shenzhen Immigration and Quarantine Requirement

From foreign countries and regions to Shenzhen

1. VISA

All foreign visitors to PR China must apply for a visa and comply with the health requirement on entering into Chinese mainland. Regarding the detailed requirement and policies of specific countries or regions, please refer to Chinese Visa Application Service Center: https://www.visaforchina.org/

2. QUARANTINE MEASURES

All passengers (including those travelling on a diplomatic basis) departing from/transiting through nominated countries to all destinations in the Chinese mainland, are required to take a nucleic acid COVID-19 test and IgM anti-body tests within 48 hours of the scheduled time of departure of the flight to the Chinese mainland. The test should be taken at institutions in the city of departure and designated or recognised by relevant Chinese embassies or consulates.

Those who test negative will need apply for a green health code with an "HS" marking or a health declaration letter and present it at check-in prior to acceptance. Passengers should be referred to the local Chinese mainland embassy for further detail of the requirements and effective date.

All persons (including Chinese nationals) are required to complete a health declaration form prior to their arrival in Chinese mainland and must undergo a 14-day quarantine at a designated location upon arrival in Chinese mainland, plus a 7-day stay-at-home community observation. A nucleic acid test will be carried out on the 1st, 7th, 14th, and 21st day after immigration.

 
From Hong Kong to Shenzhen

Regarding the announcement made by the Shenzhen Municipal Government with effect from January 5, 2021, persons entering Shenzhen from Hong Kong via the Shenzhen Bay Port are required to present a hotel reservation confirmation for the 14-day period of centralised quarantine and medical surveillance, in addition to a valid proof of a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result issued within 24 hours. The hotel reservation Must Be Made in advance through the Shenzhen Municipal Government quarantine hotel online reservation system for inbound passengers.

After the completion of 14 days quarantine, a 7-day stay-at-home community observation is also required. A nucleic acid test will be carried out on the 1st, 7th, 14th, and 21st day after immigration.

Travellers without hotel reservation confirmation and the valid proof of a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result meeting the requirement of the GD Provincial Government will be refused entry into Shenzhen. If they are unable to enter Shenzhen and have to re-enter Hong Kong, they may be subject to compulsory quarantine for 14 days pursuant to the Compulsory Quarantine of Certain Persons Arriving at Hong Kong Regulation (Cap. 599C).
