To demonstrate the reproducible production of high-quality LSR components, ARBURG is showcasing an electric ALLROUNDER from the GOLDEN ELECTRIC series in an LSR version for the first time. The exhibit produces LSR lenses, each containing 33 optical fibres, in an automated and cost-effective manner and is equipped with two robotic systems: a linear MULTILIFT SELECT removes the lenses from the mould and places them on a cooling station. A six-axis robot delivers the injection moulded parts to a laser station where a DM code is applied. Every part is therefore 100 per cent traceable. LSR lenses are used, for example, in matrix headlights for cars to switch the LED main beam lights on and off depending on the situation.
