Antimicrobial technology is one of the effective strategies for preventing and controlling harmful microorganisms. Antimicrobially treated objects can inhibit the growth and reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms on their surface, and reduce the risk of cross infection. The application of antimicrobial technology in plastics and rubber materials helps protect the material itself and reduce the risk of appearance change (such as mildew) and material deterioration (such as strength reduction or other changes in physical properties) caused by microbe attacking. This summit will focus on the application of antimicrobial technology in plastics and rubber industries by analyzing the relevant antimicrobial standards of plastics and rubber, introducing the latest antimicrobial technology, and the case sharing of antimicrobial technology in home appliances, automobiles, PP-R pipes, medical polymers and other plastics and rubber applications.
